Every baker has a story about a machine that gave up at the worst possible moment. The slicer jams during the morning rush. The slices come out thick on one side and thin on the other. A normal shift suddenly turns into a very long one. We've heard versions of this story for decades, and it's the reason we build machines the way we do.
J. S. Engineering is a bakery machine manufacturer in Delhi. Since 1948, we've been making bread slicing machines, toast slicers, cake slicing machines and other bakery equipment from our workshop in Wazirpur Industrial Area. Some of our customers run a single neighbourhood bakery. Others run large industrial plants. Both get machines built around how they actually work, not around what's easiest for us to make.
Explore our most demanded bakery machinery, designed for high productivity and consistent results.

Some models come in stainless steel too, which is easier to keep hygienic and lasts longer with daily use.
Precision-set blades and high-throughput frames built for accurate, consistent slicing at industrial volumes.
Dedicated slicing configurations for toast bread and round rolls, tuned for uniform thickness and clean cuts.
Machines built to handle cake bars and slabs with gentle, precise cutting that preserves product quality.

End-to-end project consultancy — from machinery selection to layout — for bread, cake and toast production lines.
Every manufacturer says their machines are good. Here's what we actually focus on.
our blades are set to exact tolerances, so the first slice and the thousandth look the same.
we use quality steel, because a machine that runs all day needs to handle it.
blades are simple to replace, and the machines run quietly, so you spend less time waiting on repairs.
your loaf size, your product and your daily volume decide the setup.
you talk to the people who build the machine, not a middleman who's reading from a brochure.
It all started in 1948, when S. Jaswant Singh Sohal began building bakery machinery in Delhi. In the 1970s, the second generation brought bread slicing innovation into the business and made it a core part of what we do. Today, the third generation runs the company, and the standards haven't slipped.
Nearly eight decades is a long time to keep learning from bakers. Ovens have changed, tastes have changed and daily volumes have grown. Our machines have had to keep up, and that experience shows in the small details, like how a blade is set or how a frame holds up through a full shift.

You'll find our machines in industrial bakeries, regional bakery chains, food-processing units and local bakeries. The size of the business varies, but the needs are usually the same: clean cuts, steady output and machines that don't slow the day down.
“Consistent slicing performance and robust machine construction have made these machines a reliable part of our production process.”
“The slicing thickness stays accurate shift after shift, and the blades are straightforward to replace when needed.”
“Their team helped us plan the full slicing line layout, not just supply a machine. That project support made the difference.”

As a bakery machine manufacturer in Delhi, we're never far from the bakers we work with, and that matters more than it sounds. If you're in Delhi NCR, getting in touch and sorting out your requirements with our team is easy. Questions about spare parts, servicing or follow-up support are also simpler when your manufacturer is in the same city.
If you're outside Delhi, that's fine too. We supply bakeries and food businesses across India, and we export our machines to customers abroad.
Picking machines for a new bakery can get confusing fast. There are so many options, and a wrong choice is expensive. Our project consultancy team helps you work through it step by step. We help you choose the right machines, plan your layout and set up bread, cake or toast production lines. Instead of chasing several suppliers, you get one experienced partner from start to finish.

A bakery machine manufacturer designs and builds the equipment bakeries use every day, such as slicers, mixers, ovens and dough dividers. At J. S. Engineering, we also customize machines and help new bakeries plan their production lines.
A bread slicing machine cuts a loaf into even slices using precisely set blades. The bread goes in either automatically or by gravity feed, and the blades cut it to a fixed thickness. It saves time, cuts down wastage and keeps every slice uniform.
It depends on the capacity, the model, the blade setup and whether you choose stainless steel. A gravity slicer and a high-speed automatic machine are priced very differently. Share your requirements with us and we'll give you an exact quotation.
Our high-speed bread slicers can slice up to 65 breads per minute. The exact output depends on the model, loaf size and configuration, so we recommend a machine based on your daily production target.
A high-speed toast slicing machine is the best choice, because it keeps the thickness even on every slice. We make toast slicers, including stainless steel models, and round roll slicers for buns.
Start with four questions. How many breads do you produce per minute or per day? What are your loaf size and type? How much floor space do you have? Do you need automatic or gravity feed? Our team can help you decide based on your answers.
